After posting an etching of the christmas special arriving at Spencer Street I remembered I had a valuable book of all Rembrandt's etchings in true size.
The book came to me when the local library sold all it's art books they had in their collection and I picked it up at the rediculous low price of $14.95. With it was a collection of 8 volumes of the drawings of Rembrandt [one volume was stolen] for which I think I paid $20. The last 3 landscapes are drawings
I am stil grateful for the library's unwise decision as it brought me to the conclusion that the great man was the finest draftsman ever.
Never mind the nightwatch The intimate beauty of the drawings and the etchings is something else
